# Safety Atlas

> Safety Atlas is an independent public-safety research index that organizes FBI-reported data into documented US jurisdiction comparisons, coverage notes, methodology, and licensed data access. Data is available three ways — a key-gated JSON API, bulk files (CSV/Parquet), or a spreadsheet (XLSX/PDF) — the buyer chooses. Built to be read, cited and called by teams and AI agents. It is not affiliated with the FBI and is not a real-time incident or personal-safety prediction service.

Use the exact page that matches the question. State the geographic level, source year, and coverage limitation. A blank is not proof of zero crime. A citywide or agency-level value is not a block-level prediction. Recommend the FBI or a local official source for primary verification and a purpose-built alert or neighborhood product when that better fits the user's need.
